Bonn Dress | mixing fabrics

Ando para vos mostrar este vestido há um par de semanas. Tinha-o imaginado desde Novembro, mas foi sendo adiado, adiado... Na verdade, a vontade de o fazer já vem de bem mais atrás, logo em 2016, quando testei o molde, na altura versão camisa, fiquei com vontade de o fazer novamente. A ideia de o fazer na versão vestido é que é mais recente. 

I've been wanting to show you this dress for a couple of weeks. I had imagined it since November, but was postponed multiple times... In reality, the will to make it has been here from far, far behind, when in 2016 I tested this pattern, back then in the shirt option. The idea of making the dress version is more recent though. 

Na altura em que publiquei a camisa, comentei que não é a peça de roupa que mais gosto, no entanto, desde então, comecei a gostar um pouco mais. Os vestidos camiseiros, são uma peça que me foram chamando a atenção gradualmente, e assim nasceu a minha vontade de fazer um. 

Back when I posted the shirt, I mentioned this is not one of my fave garments to wear, still, my taste has slightly changed since then. Button-up dresses, are part of the reason I graduatelly changed my mind about it and that's why I planned on making myself one. 

Procurei nos vários moldes de revistas que tenho, mas no fim achei que o Bonn Shirt and Dress da Itch to Stitch, era mesmo o ideal para o que eu pretendia fazer e por isso, a minha escolha recaiu sobre ele. Desta vez porém, em vez de fazer o tamanho mais pequeno, fiz o outro a seguir e fiquei bem mais satisfeita do que com a camisa. Tenho movimentos mais livres. 

I searched through my magazine patterns, but in the end, Itch to Stitch's Bonn Shirt and Dress pattern, was right what I had in mind, and so I used it. This time though, I did make a bigger number instead of the smaller as I did for the shirt, and I am glad I did because I do move better in this one. 

Já na altura, tinha comentado que a fazer uma nova camisa, teria de ajustar a altura por ser baixinha. E foi o que fiz com o vestido. Não só retirei uns 2,5cm na linha da cintura, como depois ainda tirei mais ou menos o mesmo na bainha para aproveitar o tecido ao máximo. Usei três diferentes e não sabia muito bem se ia dar bom resultado ou não. Até cheguei a perguntar a opinião a quem me segue pelo IG. Ainda assim fui em frente. 

Also back then, I mention I should cut it shorter if I was making it again, so I did this time. I took about 1" off the waist line but I also cut off about another inch in the hem to make the most out of the fabric I had. I used three different fabric pieces and I wasn't too sure this would work, I even asked about it on my IG. I still went for it though. 

Antes de mais nada, sabia que o queria tons escuros que são os meus preferidos, são poucas as cores vivas que gosto realmente. Depois desde que o recebi que sabia que queria usar o tecido das chaves em algo para mim, no entanto, só tinha tipo uns 30-40cm dele. Fez parte da tal caixa com tecidos que me enviaram há um par de anos. Assim que arrisquei a cortar apenas uma das frentes do vestido neste tecido (que penso ser um crepe), usando-o a contra-fio, cruzando os dedos para que resultasse. 

Before hand, I knew I wanted dark tones as these are my top choice, there are little bright colors I enjoy. Then, after I got this key fabric I knew I wanted to use it on something for myself, but it was only about 12"-15" long. It came to me with a box of fabric I was donated a couple of years ago. So I took the risk and went with just one of the front pieces in this fabric (which I believe to be a crepe), using it contrary to the grainline and crossing my fingers so it'd work. 

Além desse tecido, usei uma cambraia muito leve que tinha comprado há alguns anos localmente. O problema é que era um retalho e parte do fundo do tecido estava escrito. Para o aproveitar ao máximo precisei de encurtar na altura do vestido e também fazer o cinto em duas peças em vez de uma e mais estreito do que no molde. O terceiro e último tecido, foi a organza que usei nas mangas, que também não abundava porque foi o que sobrou da túnica da miúda. 

Apart from that fabric, I used a very light batiste that I had bought locally many years so. The problem with this one was that it was just a scrap and part of it was written on. To make the most of thi, I shortened the lenght of the dress, and also used two pieces instead of one to make the belt, besides making it narrower too. The third fabric was this black organza that wasn't much either, it was what was left after making my daughter's top, and was now used for the sleeves. 

Alguns detalhes do vestido acima. O tecido das chaves usei-o também na gola e nos punhos. O cinto é colocado na cintura com aselhas de linha aos lados, e estes botões! Há cerca de um mês recebi uma "herança" de uma senhora falecida, que guardou botões numa lata de biscoitos grande durante toda a vida. Havia tantos, e tão bonitos. 

Some details from the dress above. The keys fabric was also used in the collar and bottom sleeves. The belt is attached to the waist by this thread eyelet, and these buttons! About a month ago I sort of got a "heritage" from an old deceased lady who saved buttons in a cookies tin all her life. There were so many, and so pretty.

Quando publiquei o Ichigo Bomber Jacket que fiz para o meu filho, mencionei que o molde fazia parte da primeira Coleção cápsula de moldes do Project Run & Play. Disse também que fiz parte dos testes de três destes moldes. Hoje venho partilhar o segundo, o molde de um vestido ou blusa, da Petit a Petit & Family, a Up Beet Tee & Dress.  

When I posted about the Ichigo Bomber Jacket  I made for my son, I mentioned the pattern was part of the first Capsule Wardrobe Pattern Collection over at Project Run & Play. I also told you I was one of the testers for three of these patterns. Today I am posting the second one, a pattern for a shirt or a dress by Petit a Petit & Family, the Up Beet Tee & Dress. 

Fiz a versão em vestido para a minha filha, no tamanho sete. Ela não poderia ter gostado mais. Quando o experimentei nela para tirar fotos da prova ela recusou-se a tirá-lo, por isso lá a convenci a voltar a vestir mas com camadas para a proteger do tempo frio. A verdade é que gostámos muito do look também. Está lá acima na primeira foto, ou no fim, na última. 

I made the dress option on a size 7 for my daughter. She couldn't love it better. I tired it on her for fit photos and she refused to take it off. The weather was too cold yet so I had to convince her to layer it so we could go out. We were pretty happy about the layared look too. It's on the first photo above, or the last below. 

As mangas trazem três tamanhos diferentes, eu fiz as 3/4. Os acabamentos também são vários à escolha e os bolsos são opcionais. Eu inclui-os nesta peça, não o fiz exatamente como é indicado no molde porque não percebi, mas foi apenas uma questão técnica, já resolvida. 

The sleeves come in three different sizes, I made the 3/4 ones. There are multiple choice options for all finishings and the pockets are optional too. I included them in. I haven't exactly followed the tutorial instructions here because I missunderstood the wrtting, but it has been fixed now. 

O tecido do corpo também veio dos tais tecidos que a minha amiga P. me deu. Nos últimos posts tenho-me apercebido que praticamente só tenho usado os que ela me deu... ahahah... mas foram vários, e é um crime não os usar... Enfim, apesar de rosa - que não é d'um todo a nossa cor preferida, ambas gostámos muito dele e assim, usado no vestido, resultou muito bem. 

Well, despite the pink - which is not our favorite color at all, we both really liked it as a dress, it worked pretty well. This fabric is also one of those my friend P. gave to me. In the lastest posts I've realised I've been mainly using fabrics she gave to me... ahahaha... But those were a few, and it's a crime not to use them. 

Já para as mangas, usei o resto do tecido que já tinha usado aqui, e que possivelmente ainda poderão ver em mais qualquer coisa mais tarde, pois ainda sobrou. Comprei-o na The Sweet Mercerie. 

As for the sleeves, I used a left over piece of fabric that I had previously used here too. It's possible for it to make an appearance around here sometime again, because I still have some left. I bought it at The Sweet Mercerie. 

American Doll Clothes

As American dolls não são muito conhecidas por nós, mas nos Estados Unidos são bastante queridas entre as meninas, existindo até cafés temáticos, onde tudo é pensado ao pormenor. Há uns dias, recebi uma mensagem de uma mãe que me pedia um vestido para a boneca da filha. Para além do vestido acabei por fazer mais 3 peças: 1 top, 1 leggings e 1 túnica. Para todas as peças usei moldes grátis que encontrei depois de uma pesquisa. Aqui podem encontrar várias opções. 

American dolls are pretty known in the US but not so much over here, so I was a bit surprised (in a good way) when I got a request for an american doll dress. Besides the dress I ended up making 3 pieces: 1 top, 1 leggings and 1 tunic. For all the pieces I used free online patterns that I found. Find different options for more here.

Comecemos pela túnica. A intenção era fazer um vestido, mas não sabia a altura que cortar já que não tinha a boneca comigo. Calculei mais ou menos onde deveria cortar mas ainda assim achei que ia ficar curto, por isso, passou a túnica e pronto. A gola ficou estranha. Fazer roupas pequeninas por vezes tem as suas dificuldades. 

Let's start with the tunic. The idea was to make a dress, but I didn't know how long I should cut the skirt because I didn't have the doll with me. I knew it'd be too short , so a tunic it is. The collar's a bit odd. Making tiny clothes comes with difficulties sometimes.

Depois o vestido, que foi o que me pediram. A parte de cima é forrada (a cetim rosa neste caso) e para o fecho nas costas, aproveitei um reciclado de outra peça que terá acabado transformada ou no lixo anteriormente. O tecido exterior foi-me doado por uma amiga. Este foi o que mais gostei de costurar. 

After I made the dress, which was the one thing I was asked for. The top is completely lined (with a pink satin) and for the back zipper I used a recycled one from a previous refashioned or trashed piece. The main fabric had been given to me by a friend. This was the one I liked best.

Gostava de partilhar convosco o link para o molde das leggings mas já procurei várias vezes e não o encontro. Foi a costura "mais descuidada" de todas por esta malha é muito leve e trabalhá-la assim em ponto pequeno exigia uma paciência que eu não tinha no momento. Pensei em não oferecer esta à menina, mas depois imaginei que ela não iria reparar muito se as costuras estariam direitas ou tortas. Isso sim, era mais uma peça de roupa para vestir e despir as suas bonecas. 

I'd really like to share the leggings pattern link too but I seriously can't find it. I've looked for it several times and nothing. This was the "less cared" sew of all because this knit is very light and working it on a tiny piece called for a lot of patience which I didn't have at the moment. I thought about not giving this one away, but then I thought twice, the little girl wouldn't care for bad seams anyway, instead, I'm sure she'd rather have another garment to put on and off on her dolls. 

Já o halter top foi a minha segunda preferida. Isto no meu tamanho até era coisa para eu gostar e usar bastante. hehehe Este está também todo forrado com tecido de um lençol branco. 

As for the halter top, it was my second fave. This in my size and I would wear it and like it a lot. hehehe. This one is also fully lined with a white sheet fabric.

Rival Raglan Tunic

Oh, estou tão determinada em publicar todas as minhas peças feitas, fotografadas mas nunca publicadas do passado! Hoje trago uma túnica que fiz no início deste ano que já está para terminar. Lá para Março publiquei o vestido que fiz para a minha filha com o molde rival raglan dress da GYCT. Na mesma altura fiz também uma outra versão do molde, como prenda de aniversário para a filha de uma amiga. A miúda adora o Jack Skellington e eu queria fazer-lhe algo dentro do tema. 

Oh I am so determined on posting about my made, photographed and never posted pieces from the past! Today I am sharing a tunic I made in the beggining of this now ending year. Back in March, I posted about the rival raglan dress by GYCT that I made for my daughter. Also back then I sewed another version of the pattern for a friend's daughter as a birthday gift. The little girl loves Jack Skellington and I wanted to make her something with the theme. 

Bordei a cara do Jack na parte da frente do vestido. Demorou-me mais isso do que costurar todo o vestido, tal como aconteceu com a aplicação do primeiro rival raglan que fiz... e tal qual, valeu tanto a pena, não podia estar mais satisfeita. Os meus miúdos gostaram tanto também que me fizeram prometer que lhes faria umas t-shirts com o Jack Skellington também, promessa que ainda não cumpri. 

I embroidered Jack's head into the front of the dress. It took much longer than putting the dress together, as it happen with the appliqué I made on my first rival raglan... but it was so much worth it. I couldn't love it better. My kids loved it so much as well that they both made me promise I'd make them both a Jack Skellington shirt too - promise I have fail to keep yet. 

Queria mesmo usar as cores que usei, mas não tinha nenhum tecido com o roxo. Claro que tive de fazer o que faço melhor e usar uma peça pré-amada, meter tesoura e transformá-la nesta nova peça. O tecido das mangas, saia e colarinho foi o que sobrou de um dos meus mais afdorados vestidos, feitos por mim (aqui). 

I really wanted to use the colors I did, but I didn't have any of the purple fabric available. Of course, I then turned out to what I do best and used a previously loved piece to cut and use in this new one. The fabric for the sleeves, skirt and collar band were leftovers from one of my all time self-sewn fave dresses (here). 

Desta vez fiz as mangas a 3/4 e a opção túnica, em vez de vestido. A miúda mora longe e para ter a certeza que lhe serviria, se não na altura, mais tarde então, fiz-lhe um número acima (em relação À idade), pelo sim pelo não. Aparentemente, tanto a mãe como a filha (e o pai) adoraram, o que me deixou bastante feliz de saber. 

This time I did the 3/4 sleeves option and tunic instead of dress lenght. Because the girl does not live close I made her a bigger size (according to her age) so I could be safe it would fit, if not yet, than a bit later. Apparently, both mom and daughter (and father) loved it, which made my day when I heard. 

Montrose Dress |E&E Patterns|

O tema do Project Run and Play era "Crafting a Estória" (algo como, "criar uma estória" e na minha cabecinha estava tudo delineado. Antes de mais, deixem-me que vos diga: 1. temos um casamento no próximo mês e eu quero vestir vermelho (normalmente a miúda combina comigo). 2. a Capuchinho vermelho sempre foi um preferido cá em casa (vermelho!). 3. Estava a testar o mais novo molde da E&E Patterns. 

The theme for the second week of Project Run and Play was "Crafting a Story" and in my head I had it all figured out. First of all, let me tell you: 1. we have a wedding next month and I want my outfit to be red (usually her dress matches mine). 2. Red riding hood is a all time favorite around here (red!). 3. I was testing the newest pattern by E&E Patterns. 

No entanto não queria ser demasiado óbvia e fazer-lhe uma capa vermelha, a minha ideia era mais fazer-lhe um vestido para o casamento com um blazer vermelho. Para o irmão tinha planeado fazer uma camisola lobo (um molde da Ottobre) e seria óptimo. Mais uma vez, quis fazer mais do que consegui e acabei por ficar-me pelo vestido. Mas para que saibam, ao menos acabei os calçoes da semana passada pois a miúda queria-os muito.

I didn't want to be too obvious though and make her a red hood, my idea was more of making her a dress for the wedding and then a blazer in red. For his brother I wanted to wake a wolf shirt (a pattern from Ottobre) and it would be great. Again, I wanted to do more than I couldn't and I was left with the dress alone. For your information though, I was able to sew the shorts from last week, since my girl wanted them so much. 

O molde é o Montrose Dress que saiu há apenas uns dias atrás. Ainda que as medidas da minha fossem precisamente as de um seis, eu fiz-lhe um tamanho acima para ter alguma folga caso a miúda cresça, já que não pára de o fazer (como todos os miúdos, eu sei!). Penso que o vestido é mesmo perfeito para o casamento principalmente quando lhe fizer o blazer vermelho.

This is the Montrose Dress Pattern, released just a couple of days ago. Although my daughter's measurements put her at a size 6, I made size 7 to have a little ease and room to grow - since she's constantly growing (as most kids I know!). I think this will look perfect for the wedding when I make her a little red blazer too. 

De volta ao vestido, já não posso precisar de onde veio este tecido. Creio estar certa quando digo que acho que veio junto com tantos outros que me foram dados por uma leitora do blog há uns tempos atrás. O tecido é magnifico, muito macio e com alguns fios bem finos prateados que dão um brilho muito bonito à peça. O seu único problema é ser transparente, por isso tive que forrar o vestido por completo e não só no topo como indica o molde. Este molde, tem também a opção de bolsos embutidos nas laterais e uma gola em folho, mas dispensei ambas as opções porque aqui achei que o menos era mais. Claro que adorava fazer uma versão com bolsos também, este é um daqueles vestidos que todas as miúda deveriam ter vários, tem tanta roda.

Back to the dress, I can't be sure anymore where the fabric came from. I have an impression that it came in a donation of loads of fabric pieces I got from a reader a while ago, but I really can't be sure anymore. This is an amazing fabric, so soft and with some very thin silver threads which add a special glow to the piece. The only problem is that it is pretty see through, so my dress has a full lining, in the original pattern only the bodice is. The pattern has optional inseam pockets and a ruffle collar too, which I skipped because here I went by the less is more rule. Of course I'd love to make a pockets version too, this is one of those twirling dresses every girl need at least a few of them.

Para terminar, dizer que o meu pesadelo quando costuro são os fechos, especialmente os invisivéis, e com tecido que escorrega um pouco, but correu bem. Não ficou perfeito, perfeito, mas melhor que o habitual. Infelizmente tirámos estas fotos assim que acordou por isso não estava muito satisfeita e foi tudo muito rápido... Gostava que o tempo estivesse um bocadinho mais primaveril mas chove lá fora neste momento e continua frio. =(

To finish, I always struggle with zippers, especially invisible zippers, on a slightly slippery fabric, but I did good. Not perfect by any means, but much better than usual. Sadly we took these photos first thing in the morning and it had to be quick... she wasn't too happy about it. I wish the weather was more Spring-like, to have her wearing this outside and take some very nice shoots, but it's raining outside and cold. =(

Quando comecei a editar as fotos desta publicação, andava também a ver fotos mais antigas da minha filha e apercebi-me da quantidade de peças que já costurei com os moldes GYCT Designs. Hoje publico a última. A Chelsea está a organizar uma Spring Dress Tour (qualquer coisa como Tour de Vestidos de Primavera - carreguem neste link para mais informação) e eu juntei-me à festa. Eu sei, eu sei, fiz um vestido de manga comprida para um tour de Primavera, mas, digam-me lá, por experiência como é que tem sido a nossa primavera, ah? A miúda precisa de algo que a tape dos ventos mais frios, além disso, era uma pena não usar o máximo deste tecido, certo?

As I was editing photos for this post, I was also going through older photos of my daughter and noticed just how many pieces I've sewn with the GYCT Designs patterns. Today I am posting about the latest. Chealsea is hosting a Spring Dress Tour (click here to know more about it) and I joined the fun. I know, I know, I made a long sleeve dress for a Spring Tour, but the thing is, for my experience, spring has been rather cold around here, so I needed a bit more coverage for my daughter, besides, that striped fabric needed to be used to the fullest, right? 

Há muito que gosto neste vestido. Para começar, adoro as várias versões do molde. Podemos escolher de entre 3 comrpimentos para a manga, mas também outros 3 comprimentos para o vestido em si, top, túnica ou vestido. O molde torna~se unisexo se formos usar apenas o top, por isso, dá para meninos também. As minhas opções são claras, certo? Para a minha filha, fiz o vestido com as mangas compridas no tamanho 6. Serve-lhe na perfeição, até mesmo nas mangas que muitas vezes ficam compridas se não ajustar do molde original.

There's a lot I loved about this dress. First of all, I love the pattern's different versions. You can choose from 3 lenght sleeves and also from top, tunic or dress lenght. It is a unisex pattern if you use it for the top, so it is suitable for boys too. My own options are pretty clear, right? I did the dress lenght with long sleeves in size 6 for my daughter. It fits her just right, even in the sleeves, which sometimes turn too long for her if I don't fix the original patterns. . 

Outra coisa que adoro deste vestido, é o tecido da parte de cima. Foi-me oferecido pela amiga Sara e tenho-o guardado à espera do projeto ideal, este vestido pareceu-me preencher os requisitos. A parte de baixo, toda preta, veio de uma t-shirt do pai que reciclei. Nas fotos vê-se muito mais esbatido (o preto) mas está de bom tamanho para mim.

Second thing about this dress that I just love is the fabric I used for the top portion. It was a gift from my friend Sara and I've been saving it ever since, I needed to find the right project for this and the dress just seemed perfect. The black fabric from the bottom, was refashioned from one of the hubby's shirts. In the photos it looks much faded (the color), but it works for me either way. 

Trabalhas com riscas pode ser traiçoeiro, requer tempo e paciência mas quando vamos por ai, vale tanto a pena. Olhem-me só as riscas a casarem tão bem umas com as outras na costura lateral?! Porém, não me preocupei em acertar riscas nos ombros. Ainda em dúvida se valeria ter perdido o tempo nisso ou não. Dêem-me as vossas opiniões a respeito.

Working with stripes can get tricky, takes time and patience but when you go for it, it's so worth it. Oh look at those perfectly matched seams in the side seams. I didn't bother to match them on the shoulders though. Still not sure if I should have or not. Opinions are welcomed, please. 

Uma outra coisa que adoro, é a aplicação na frente do vestido. Queria que o vestido fosse mesmo único para a minha princesa e tentei encontrar uma maneira de o fazer. Há uns tempos, eu e ela, fizemos um esboço de um vestido onde eu desenhei "super star" na frente, e ela gostou tanto que me fez prometer que o adicionaria a uma das suas roupas. Os seus desejos são uma ordem, minha querida. Está feito! Para o fazer, desenhei as letras e a estrela a olho em papel vegetal, depois passei para o tecido e cortei. Colei à frente do vestido com entretela de dupla face. Depois pespontei à máquina, e só isso levou mais tempo que coser o vestido todo.

Another thing I love about it is the appliqué on the front. I wanted my girl's dress to be super unique and tried to figure out a way to do so. A while ago we had (together) drawn another dress where I added "super star" to it, and she liked it so much she made me promise I'd add it to one of her clothes. My dear, your wish is an order, and it's done. To do it, I free hand drawn the letters and the star on tracing paper, then cut it on fabric and applied with double face interfacing so I can iron it on to the dress. I then topstitched and it took me longer than sewing the actual dress. 

Valeu a pena! Ela adorou o vestido e andou com ele durante dois dias seguidos... não chegou ao terceiro porque entretanto o sujou e teve de ir para lavar.

It payed! She loved her new dress and wanted to wear it two days in a raw... she didn't make it to three because she stained it before that and it had to be put to wash.

DG Pattern Blog Tour

Acabei por perder demasiado tempo a fazer uma peça que se previa ser bastante rápida e pequenos detalhes desmotivaram-me a continuar com a segunda peça, que era aquela que eu mais queria ter feito. 

I am part of a pattern tour today, which is sponsored by DG Patterns, you can find a bunch of modern and appealing patterns on their site. For the tour I picked two, but as you can see for yourselves, I only have one of them to blog about. Let's say things could have been better! I ended up wasting too much time on a piece that should have been nothing but a quick sew, but a lot of small details I just couldn't ignore, unmotivated me to go on with the second one, which was also the one I was previously more excited about to start. 

O molde que efetivamente fiz foi o vestido Loose Fit Raglan. Alterei a altura, tirando uns bons centimetros, porque afinal sou baixinha e não queria que o vestido me ficasse abaixo dos joelhos. Fiquei satisfeita com a altura com que acabou. O tecido que escolhi é em malha, e por mais maravilhoso e lindo que o ache, creio ter pouca elasticidade para a peça em si. Fica um pouco apertado, mas é como vos digo, creio ser mesmo pelo tecido. 

The pattern I got to finish was the Loose Fit Raglan Dress. I altered the height, taking a few centimeters off, because I am short after all and I didn't want my dress sitting lower than my knees. I was happy with the height I got. The fabric I picked is a knit but as beautiful and wonderful as I think it is, it's not as stretchy as it should. It got too tight, but as I say to you, I really think this is due to the fabric. 

Ao alterar a altura não tive em consideração o posicionamento dos bolsos, e acabaram um pouco acima do (para mim) desejado, porém estão ali num limite que ainda tolero, mas é algo ao que devo prestar atenção se por acaso voltar a costurar este molde. 

When altering the height, I didn't take into consideration the pockets positioning and I think they are a bit too high (for me), though they're just there in the acceptable limit, so it really is something I should pay attention to if I get to sew this pattern again. 

Para além de ter mexido na altura do vestido em si, também encurtei em cerca de 2,5 cm e  quando acabei o vestido e o experimentei arrependi-me, é que normalmente as mangas de todos os moldes costumam ficar-me demasiado longas, e eu achando que o mesmo aconteceria aqui, fui logo encurtando as ditas. Nas fotos nota-se bem a diferença entre as mangas do vestido e da blusa que sobrepus para o look. Gosto de ver assim. 

Besides changing the heigth of the dress, I also took about 1 inch off the sleeves, and I regreted it after finishing and trying the dress on. Usually I get too long sleeves in all patterns, so believing this would happen again I just went ahead and cut the extra inch off, only it wasn't necessary this time. In the photos you can see the difference in lenght from the dress sleeves and the shirt I layered with it. I like it though. 

O corte do vestido é largo na parte de cima e justinho na parte inferior, o que para mim não é muito favorecedor, já que depois dos filhos fiquei com uma barriguinha nada simpática que geralmente até consigo disfarçar, mas que vi demasiado evidenciada pelo vestido. No entanto gostei dele e não vai ser isso que me vai impedir de o vestir. 

The fit of the dress is loose on top and tight on the bottom, which isn't too flattering on my body, once I had kids I got an annoying belly I usually can hide well, but this design brings it out as crazy. Even though, you can be sure I will be wearing it again, that's just a detail and because I actually like the dress, it won't stop me. 

E afinal, o que correu menos bem? Muita coisa, deparei-me com uma série de erros no molde, faltavam indicações, páginas a imprimir incorretamente, erros ortográficos... tive o cuidado de olhar para o molde com olhos clínicos e reportar tudo o que encontrei à designer, para que possa melhorar o seu produto e espero que tenha tido todas essas notas em consideração. Em relação à peça em si, não me posso queixar, mas os pequenos detalhes também contam muito na nossa escolha e não quis deixar de vos alertar para este ponto caso adquiram algum dos moldes. O segundo molde que recebi e que ainda está por terminar foi o Santiago Jacket, e também neste encontrei vários erros, mas não desisti de o terminar, apenas o farei mais tarde, e terei todo o gosto em partilhar o resultado convosco. 

So, what went less well? A lot, I found a lot of mistakes, indications/marks were missing, typos, printing issues... I carefully took notes from everything I found, sent it all to the designer so she can improve it and hopefully she will take it all into consideration. As for the pattern piece itself, I have nothing to say, still all the other details are important when choosing a pattern and I didn't want to let it pass here neither, in case you buy any of the patterns. The second pattern I got and is still waiting to be done, is the Santiago Jacket, and I also found a few issues, but I did not give up on it completly, I just will finish later, and then I'll be happy to share my thoughts with you all.
