Fenix Romper by Cali Faye Collection

Há precisamente um mês que publiquei pela última vez aqui no blog. Nestas últimas semanas consegui costurar algumas peças, não só pela obrigação auto imposta de cumprir as datas dos testes e tours, mas pela real necessidade de costurar, e do prazer que daí adverte. Hoje venho mostrar-vos uma dessas peças. 

Exactly a month has passed since my last entry on the blog. In these last weeks I managed to sew a few items, not only for the self impossed obligation of meeting test and tours deadlines, but only for the real need of sewing, and the pleasure I get from it. Today, I am here to show you one of these pieces. 

Há muito tempo que não gostava tanto de uma peça de roupa como gostei do primeiro Fenix Romper *(macacão), um molde acabadinho de sair, lançado por Cali Faye Collection. Fiz parte do magnifico grupo de teste deste molde, e adorei. Nunca tinha testado para a Sarah e nem sequer tinha, alguma vez, usado algum dos seus moldes. Já tinha porém babado algumas peças feitas com os seus moldes, principalmente no blog da Andreia. 

I haven't felt as happy about a garment as I did when I finished my first Fenix Romper*, a pattern just released by Cali Faye Collection. I was part of her amazing testers crew and loved it. I had never tested for Sarah neither have I even used any of her patterns. I had indeed drooling over some pieces made out of her patterns, especially some on Andreia's blog. 

Assim que, experimentei e fiquei rendida. Este macacão, que engana bem e parece um vestido, foi o segundo que fiz durante o teste, com o molde final. No entanto gostei imenso do corte do primeiro desenho também, esse primeiro teste assenta-me tão bem como o segundo corrigido, embora o corte tenha sido ligeiramente modificado, por isso, espero em breve partilhá-lo convosco também. 

That said, I tried it and I surrendered. This romper, which passes pretty well by a dress, was the second I made while testing, with the final pattern. I enjoyed the first one's shape quite a bit too, and that first draft fits me equally as good as this fixed second one, although the shape has been slightly changed, and that's why I plan on sharing it with you anytime soon. 

Eu gosto de roupa confortável, e acreditem que esta é uma das peças mais confortáveis que já fiz para mim. Rápido e fácil de costurar, está marcado como um molde para pessoas com alguma experiência devido ao facto de incluir bolsos, alças ajustáveis (uma de duas opções). Para quem se sente à vontade com esses detalhes, então achará certamente a execução desta peça, muito fácil. 

I like me some comfortable clothes, and believe me when I say this is one of the most comfortable pieces I ever sewn myself. It is quick and easy to sew, marked as an intermediate level pattern because it includes pockets and adjustable straps (one out of two options). If you are comfortable sewing these features then you will think this a very easy to put together piece. 

Deixei o meu com um ar mais formal ao adicionar o cinto, a combinar com os meus sapatos, para esta sessão de fotos com a minha pequena de 5 anos. Oh sim, isso mesmo! I namorido (que normalmente tira as minhas fotos) tem andado ocupado e eu tinha um prazo a cumprir com as fotos, por isso arrisquei com a pequena e ela não se portou nada mal, pois não?! Não costumo usar estas cores, e por momentos paniquei porque não tinha sapatos a condizer, foi quando me lembrei de juntar o cinto e acabou por ficar melhor do que imaginei. Fica tão bem sem ele também. E depois podemos brincar com o estilo que lhe damos, ajusta-se facilmente a várias ocasiões, é muito versátil. Perfeito para a primavera e verão. 

I dressed it up a little with a belt, matching my shoes, for this photoshoot with my 5 year old. Oh yeah, that's right! Dear husband (who usually takes my photos) was pretty busy and I had a deadline for them, so I took the chance and asked my little lady to help me. She did quite well, didn't she? I don't usually wear this colors and was afraid none of my shoes would be appropriate but I think it turned out better than what I was expecting. It looks sooo good without the belt too. And you can play around with it, I think it can fit any social ocasion really, so versatile. Perfect for spring and summer. 

Adoro o decote em V da frente, e mais ainda o V profundo nas costas e para fazer o meu usei um tecido tão suave e leve. Para este em particular, dispensei as alças ajustáveis e sinto que não me poderia assentar melhor do que isto. Já mencionei o quão confortável é? 

I love the V neckline and even more the deep V on the back too and to make my own I used a so very soft and light woven fabric. For this I chose the non-adjustable straps and I feel like it couldn't fit me better than it does. Did I menton how comfortable it is?
