I'm so happy to have Jillian from Refashionista with us today. I mean, she's pretty much one of my two refashion muses (the other one will be here too! Yey!!!). I think she is inspiring and I love her sense of humour, even when things don't look that bright, but above all, I think it's amazing how she can totally transform her 1$ pieces into perfect copycats. Enjoy!
Hi there, strangers! I’m so happy Magda asked me to do a guest post for her month of refashions! How cool is it that she’s gotten a bunch of us refashion bloggers together?
I love it!
The world loves wannabes! I used to hate window shopping. Years ago, I would gaze forlornly upon all the fabulous fancy frocks I couldn’t afford in boutique windows for hours. It was a sad sort of torture. :/
Then I got smart! I saw a lot of similarities between the $1 thrift store frocks I kept passing over and the expensive designer pieces in high-end stores and online.
“I can probably do that,” I said.
“I can definitely do that,” I added with daring.
“I’m going to do that,” I declared with a victorious hair toss!
What followed was an obsession with seeking out fab frocks and making my own copycat versions!
Here are a few of my faves!
…and my most recent copycat:
So…stop coveting and start creating! Viva la Refashion!
Cheers!
I am a fan of Refashionista. I love looking at the amazing transformations that 2nd hand clothes go through to look so fashionable afterwards.
